Here we go!
After hours of procrastination, I finally got my multiple suitcases packed and in the car. Many tearful goodbyes later and we are headed through the security of the Nashville airport. My compadre, Mary's, grandmother pulled some strings and set us up in the Admiral's club. Can you say SWANK! What a stark contrast to the consitions we will be experiencing for the rest of the month.
After landing in Miami, we will have a 6 hour layover followed by a 8 hour flight to La Paz (the highest airport in South America). We will stay on the plane until it takes off again, headed for Santa Cruz. Hopefully I will have internet and will be able to post something during our long layover in this small Bolivian airport. One more short flight later and we will arrive at our home for the next month. I hope I will be able to post before next week but if not... ADIOS and Happy New Year! I will post as soon as I can.
